Hybrid Honda
Go save the environment! This is one of the most frequent
mottoes, but the responsible use of the planet's energy sources
is far from being achieved.
Car manufacturers have also adopted this “healthy” attitude
and the majority of them have already done things to become
green. One of these elements that makes car manufacturers green
is that they have changed the old designs and adapted their
techniques to making newer and more economic ones. Thus the
hybrid vehicle has turned into a sort of main goal for many car
makers, among which Honda is quite an important one. Honda has
invented a number of hybrid Honda cars. For a number of years
Honda has brought us different collections of hybrid Honda
vehicles like the Honda Insight, the Hybrid Honda Accord and
others.
The Prius model that made the first hybrid Honda,
is undergoing a revival process, and we'll see the change at
the Paris Motor Show this October. This five-seated hybrid
Honda design, takes its styling cues from the 2007 Honda FCX
Clarity which is car powered by hydrogen fuel cells. Honda
spokespeople claim that the new Insight hybrid Honda will be
cheaper than those of the competition, due to the innovations
and cost savings made possible through the company’s Integrated
Motor Assist hybrid-drive system (IMA). Thus, if the original
Insight hybrid Honda produced between 1999 and 2006 was
$50,000, the new hybrid Honda will cost somewhere between
$30,000 and $35,000.
The specificity of the IMA system in the hybrid Honda
innovation is the location of the electric engine between the
internal combustion engine and the transmission train. Thus
located, the IMA in the new hybrid Honda has the part of a
starter-motor and engine balancer, also helping the gas engine
when in the acceleration mode. The hybrid Honda under
discussion here includes technology that allows a very fuel
efficient driving. This is obvious a gauge-read-out which
displays real-time fuel consume. This gauge in the new hybrid
Honda also helps you choose the best way to make the top number
of km out of a tank fuel.
The producer is aiming at making some 500,000 hybrid Honda
cars per year, which represents 10% of the company’s overall
production. The price of the new hybrid Honda and its
availability on the market for selling, though not announced
for Australia yet, has already been set for North America.
Honda manufacturers are confident that the new hybrid Honda
will have an undeniable advantage on the market due to the
updated technology. The important benefit available with the
new hybrid Honda lies in the combination of the more
cost-efficient Integrated Motor Assist hybrid technology and
the superior level of affordability which will definitely
attract more customers all over the world.
